Brain scans of adults with ADHD are different from adults who outgrew it.MIT neuroscientists used fMRIs to study the brains of both groups while they remained unfocused on anything. The adults with ADHD who outgrew it had a “normal synchrony pattern” just like people who never had ADHD. But the adults who still had ADHD don’t show the synchronous activity.
