Aging in brain linked to sleep-related memory decline

New research out of the University of California, Berkeley has found that aging in the brain is linked to sleep-related memory decline. That’s because the prefrontal cortex – which helps sustain quality sleep – loses volume as we get older. And quality sleep is needed for us to consolidating new memories.
