Kids’ developing brain regions hit hard by sleep deprivation

University of Zurich research have demonstrated that the brains of 5- to 12-year-olds respond differently to sleep deprivation than adults. Lack of sleep in children affects posterior regions of the brain, which deal with spatial perception, vision and processing multi-sensorial input.
