Concussion testing affected by lack of sleep

Athletes who underwent baseline concussion testing did not score as high on 3 out of 4 ImPACT evaluations if they didn’t get enough sleep the night before. They showed more symptoms if they slept fewer than 7 hours. This is important to consider when a player is being evaluated on the sideline to determine if they can return to play.
