Chinese may have higher risk for stroke

Stroke is the second most-common cause of death in the world but in China it’s No. 1. It’s also the leading cause of adult disability in China. When comparing Chinese people to Caucasians, Chinese had a higher risk of intracerebral hemorrhage. Chinese people also had a lower average age of stroke onset (66 to 70), compared to Caucasians (72 to 76).
