Adults with eating disorders have worse prognosis if they have ADHD

People with eating disorders have a poorer prognosis if they also have ADHD. In a study of 191 adults, researchers found that bulimia, binge eating disorders and “unspecific eating disorders” were linked to more impulsive personalities. On the contrary, people with more restrictive anorexia and those who could control their eating disorders better didn’t show the symptoms of ADHD.
