Why Franchising?

The decision to adopt the franchise model for LearningRx grew naturally out of our experiences delivering our training to the public, and what we learned along the way.

The programs were originally provided by doctors as an alternative for existing patients who were suffering from ADHD and other learning disorders. It was a good idea, but it soon became obvious that most doctors were not able to effectively administer the program while also running their practice. In most cases, they were only able to help a minimal number of students.

Because of this, we chose to widen our market to include educators. By licensing our program, we brought teachers and tutors into the mix. They were passionate about what our product could do, and did a good job delivering the training, but in general did not have the experience to expand their business. Most of them trained only 6 to 8 students per year. The results were phenomenal, but only a few families were helped. We really wanted to help as many people as possible, so we knew we had to search for another way.

We turned to franchising. We saw the potential in combining a business mindset, a passion to help others, and a systematized business model with our powerful, life-changing programs. This step proved to be the correct one. We soon found that with only a few franchisees we were able to help many more students than we had previously with hundreds of licensees.

The backgrounds of our franchisees are varied – education, psychology, audiology, business, marketing – but all of them are people who have a passion to help others. Some are parents of children who have had learning struggles – which proves to be a very useful background.

Our franchising model also gives us the opportunity to closely monitor students’ training results in order to maintain the high standards and quality of training we require of our franchisees.
