Autism risk in younger children increases if older sibling has it

Children who have an older sibling with autism run 14 times greater risk of developing the disorder themselves. The risk level is consistent across gestational age at birth, and younger boys with ASD who had older brothers were much more likely (15%) to be affected than girls with older sisters with ASD (7%).
